Movie Shopping Spree

I LOVE movies. My perfect day is one that involves going to see a movie or watching them at home. Jordan and I were at Wal-Mart the other day and I found a few movies that I am very excited about. First, I found Anastasia. This is one of my favorite movies. I LOVE the music. I will catch myself singing it all the time. The Anastasia sound track was one of the first CD I ever got. Although it is a little dark at the end for a kid’s movie, it is one of my favorite animated films. I love Bartok. He is so fun.
-My favorite quote is “And I'd kick her sir"
The next movie I found was The Secret Garden. I remember reading the story as a child. I also remember seeing this film in theaters. I was at an ice skating competition in Las Vegas and the night after I competed, my mom took me to see it. I love this movie because of the setting. It is such a magical place that they create in the garden.
-My favorite quote is the last line "The spell was broken. My uncle learned to laugh, and I learned to cry. The secret garden is always open now. Open, and awake, and alive. If you look the right way, you can see that the whole world is a garden."
The last movie I found was my most favorite of them all. I found A Little Princess. Hands down this is in my top ten favorite movies of all time. I still cry every time I watch it. I love Sarah and her kind heart. I love how she turns the worst situation in to a fairy tale. It is my favorite movie!!! My sisters and I still watch it. I am very excited to own my own copy. My favorite quote from this movie is "I am a princess. All girls are. Even if they live in tiny old attics, even if they dress in rags, even if they aren't pretty, or smart, or young, they're still princesses. All of us."
The best part about my movie shopping spree is that Anastasia was $9, and The Secret Garden and A Little Princess was in a pack together for $7.50. I got 3 of my favorite movies for only $16.50. I love a good deal. So does Jordan. :) I sense many movie parties in the future.

The house....

Ok so here are some pictures of our new house!!!! We decided to go with a townhouse because it was much newer than the regular homes we could afford. Also, we don't have to deal with the yard work or anything on the exterior. The townhouse just fits our needs better for the time being, since Jordan will not have time to spend on a fixer-upper or a yard. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 and 1/2 baths and is 1300 square feet. I am excited about that, but the things I am most excited for are as followed:

- It has CARPET
- I will have a washer and dryer in my house
- It has a dishwasher
- It has a 1 car garage
-No gross fish guts coming up my sink
-No crazy maintenance lady waking me up
-There are no CINDER BLOCK WALLS

The main reason we decided to move out of our very affordable apartment so soon is that I recently got a job at McKay-Dee Hospital in there NICU as a full time Respiratory Therapist. The only downside is that they work 12 hour shifts...from 3am-3pm. I will be working the night shift from 3pm-3am, so we don't think it is very safe for me to drive an hour home at 3am. Jordan agreed and we decided to move up our move out date to ASAP!!!! I will post more about my new job when I am officially done with training next week. We are so excited for this new Adventure in our lives. I guess we are becoming real grown ups. Anyone is welcome to come visit me at my NEW HOUSE; we are set to close on August 13th. :)

My new FAVORITE movie...

On Saturday Jordan and I went to see “The Dark Night” with Kim and Nancy at the Gateway. First off, thanks to Kim and Nancy for the movie. I LOVE that Gateway lets you reserve seats. It was so nice to show up to a great movie the second day it was out and only have to be there 15 min early. When we move back to Layton, I still think it is so worth driving to Ogden or SLC to a Larry H. Miller theater to reserve seats. Anyway, the movie is 2 hours and 40 minutes. That is a long movie but I was entertained to ENTIRE time. Now this was a dark show and had some violence in it but I still LOVE it. I am a sucker for superhero movies. They have always been my favorite. Christian Bale is a great Batman. The late Heath Ledger gave a great preformance also. He is the kind of Joker I always thought of. I won’t spoil the movie for any one, but if any one wants to see I will go with you!!! I LOVED IT!!!!

My apartment aka the Squire Motel

So I know I have not posted in awhile but life has been crazy. I will post all about my new job soon, I just had to share this first. Well my sister Katie recently got a job at IMC in Murry and has been working graves. So she has been staying with us. I don't blame her I don't think I could drive all the way to Layton at 8am after working all night. Last night Makall and Jenna came and stayed over. We watched some movies and played the Wii. I love having them come visit. So this morning Katie came here to sleep as usual and then my mom called. She was working at Primary Children's all night and wanted me to come get her. She told me she had left her car at the airport. So, she came her to sleep also. In all we have had 6 people in our tiny apartment all morning. ...this makes me even more excited for my fun news.... We are buying a townhouse in LAYTON !!!!!!!!!!!! we put in an offer on Friday and they accepted. :) out tentative closing date is Aug 13!!! I am so excited!!! It has 3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. But the selling point for me is that there is a dishwasher, carpet and a 1 car garage. !!!! I will post pictures soon.

Any way here are some pictures of the Hotel.

Tony Grove

We headed up to TOny grove. We had a fun tome. We decided to hike WHite Pine. It was a rough hike, we didn't have enough water so that was rough. But but was a good hike other wise. We enjoyed reading and playing games.
