Birthday Cake Making

Jan 28th way one of my super cute nieces birthdays. My sister-in-law Alysia want to have a Minnie themed party- this included a minnie mouse cake. We found a picture of a cake on-line and decided we would try our own. I was a little scared, I had only made cakes with the character pans. It was so much fun and turned out great. So here is the Story of the Minnie Mouse Cake.
This is the cake we used to make the ears. The face was just a circle pan
This is after I frosted the "flesh" colored frosting.

Here is the black added on. We had a hard time getting the right colors, but they all turned our great.
This is the side of the cake. The dots are fondant frosting. (thanks Katie for being so creative)
Minie's eye's and nose.

The almost finished product.

The finished cake. YAHOO!!! It turned our so good. The ribbon is however not made out of frosting :)

Jordan - High School Years

**Sorry this one is being posted so late. I was busy making a birthday cake. A post about that later***
Jordan was very involved in High School as well (see Jr. High post). During his sophomore year he was in the show choir- Lyrics. He performed in the musical The Scarlet Pimpernel. We also met the beginning of this year and have been best friends ever since.
During Jr. year Jordan was in the Key Club. He was the Jr. Rep. I was the historian. We went to the state Key Club convention in Boise Idaho. It was more fun then you would think. The highlight had to be the talent that Jordan and I performed in the talent show. Jordan would catch marshmallows in his mouth that I would throw. To this day Jordan still cannot eat or stand the sight of the Albertson's mini marshmallows. Jr. Year brought more Lyrics and the musical FOOTLOOSE - Jordan played Bickle. During Sr. year Jordan was the treasurer of the Key Club. I was the president. It was a fun club to be involved in. We did weekly service projects.
Jr year also brought many dances. This was a fun thing because we could now go to them. ( since we were now 16)
This is Homecoming Jr. Year. (we look so little)
This is Sweet Hearts our Jr Year. Lots of fun!!!!
-------Picture won't load......will try again.--------------
PROM Jr. Year. So much fun, it was at Abravanel Hall.
Sr. year was the best!!!!! Jordan was in the Laytones choir and I was in Lace. So we had a few classes together, lots of performances and a week long trip to CALIFORNIA!!!!!!!
Homecoming Sr Year. ( this is my favorite dress)

Harvest Sr. year. We had never been to harvest before.....It was fun.

Jordan was also in Productions. They had 2 plays during the year. This is the first play, it was a play that makes fun of Utah. He did a really good job. The second play they did was a dinner theater HONK. Jordan had the lead role of the ugly duckling. He had the cutest little voice for his character and I saw the show almost every night he performed. He is such a talented actor!!!!
- If you have noticed in the pictures Jordan's hair is getting GROTESQUE...and long. This is not by choice....he was growing it our for the musical Les Miserables.

This is Cotillion Sr Year. I love Jordan's blue shirt!!!! It is still my favorite.

This is the worst picture of the hair at Sr year Sweet Hearts

The only good thing about his long hair is the I got to play with it. I used the crimp-er and made little pony tails all over his head!!!! - I thought he was going to cry when I tried to take the elastic out. - This was awesome!!! Who can say they have crimped and braided their husband's hair??!?!?!? not too many
The musical !!! Jordan was Marius in Les Miserables. He did AMAZING!!!!!! Jordan LOVES musicals. One day when he has spare time he wants to participate in them again. For now we go see every one we can.
YAHOO I finally have a cute boy again!!!! This was PROM Sr year. This was the best dance!!! Jordan is so creative. We went with great friends.
Spring was here and it was time for the annual Choir California tour!! We went to Six flags and Disney Land. We spend the remainder of the week in San Diego. We preformed in Disneyland,at schools and at malls. It was so much fun.

This is 80's Morp and I am sure we had the best outfits there!!!!! It did take a good 20 minutes to get Jordan out of Katie's Levi Jacket, but it was well worth it!!!!

Jordan graduated in June of 2004. He was #1 in our class with a cumulative GPA of a 4.0!!!!!

Jordan did so much in high school. He also went to the DATC during high school in addition to all his extra curricular activities.
Jordan was the Computer Science Sterling Scholar!!! He made it all the way to the state finals!!! Jordan is an amazing boy. He is so talented at so many things. High school was so much fun.

WOW Jordan you have done so much already!!! I am so proud of you. High School was so much fun!!! I know if we had not been friends it would not have been as enjoyable!!!!
GOOD TIMES, and GREAT MEMORIES
