Cousin water day

We had a fun water day at Squire’s last Thursday. We set up all the pools and water tables and the kids loved it. Papa Kim had an AWESOME slipping slide that was calling our name.

I took both girls down Brynlee loved it…Avery not so much….

Walker Texas Ranger…well almost

Chuck Norris is one of the last people I would compare to Avery until now. Avery is apparently as stealthy and sneaky as Chuck. Out of nowhere BAM roundhouse kick to the face…… Well out of nowhere BAM my baby girl is a walker!!!!- Well a Walker Texas Ranger.

She has been SO SO SO close for SO SO SO long. She stands up all by herself, walks along the couch the wall- ANYTHING, but she has refused to take even a step. Sunday we got her to take 3 and I thought maybe in a few weeks she would start. Well she surprised us all and totally walked last night!!!!

And here is the proof…….

YAHOO!!!! I just love this girl! –Hope you enjoy this Kate in Michigan and Makall in Taiwan. Avery is growing up SO fast!!!! 

Happy Birthday Grandma Great

Last Wed. was Grandma Great's birthday. My girls LOVE Grandma Great – and I do too.

Jenna came with us and we took Grandma to lunch at Chick-fil-a. We were very excited that our cousin Colby – who we haven't seen for a few years- came to see Grandma on her birthday so he came with us. After Chick-fil-a we went to the Sweet Tooth Fairy bake shop and got cupcakes.

Brynlee said we needed to get Grandma Great something pink. So we found a ball for her. (we also gave her her favorite black licorice) Brynlee could not wait to take that ball out and play with Grandma Great.

Unfortunately for the ball it got popped by the tree :)

I LOVE this picture.  The girls LOVE Grandma Great and she LOVES them.

Me and Grandma. I am so grateful for her. She gave us a scare a month or so ago and had pancreatitis and was in the hospital for a week and had her gallbladder out. She is recovering well and getting her strength back.

She is the best. She always is so willing to help me with the girls when I have to work and we LOVE to go shopping.

5 Years…….

5 years ago today Jordan and I were married for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple.

Such a fun day to remember!!!! It was a day we had been waiting for for 5 years. We have been together since we were Juniors in High school, and I knew then that he was the one for me :) Jordan returned home from serving a 2 year mission for our church in Feb of 2007. I wait for him and wrote him letters the entire time. We were married 4 months after he came home and the rest is history…………

What a difference 5 years makes………

So much has happened and changed…………

-We have bought (and sold) our first house and bought a new one.

-We have both graduated from college and have real “grown-up” careers. Jordan as a computer engineer working in business intelligence and me as a respiratory therapist. 

-We have 2 SWEET baby girls. Brynlee and Avery are our WORLD!!! We love them to pieces and are so grateful we will be a family FOREVER

-We have gone on LOTS of fun vacations, San Diego, Florida, Virginia, and New Port beach

One thing that has not changed is that I LOVE this boy. He is my best friend and I don’t know what I would do without him.

Jordan is the best!!!! He decided that we needed a fun family vacation and is taking me here over Labor Day!!!!

I am SO SO SO SO SO excited  I can hardly wait. We got a killer good deal and are taking the girls to Disney World too. Brynlee is SO excited…but I dare say that I am the most excited!!!!!!

Thanks for the last 5 years my boy!!!! I know the next …well…. FOREVER will be even more fun :)

Liberty Park

Monday we had planned on going to the splash pad in North salt lake (by Ty and Al) well we got there and it was closed…BUMMER… SO we decided to go to Liberty Park instead.

The kids had SO much fun. Avery enjoyed eating, eating and MORE eating with Chloe

These kids had a very nutritious lunch of Watermelon, Cheetos ..and the remainder of our 3 dozen Krispy Kreams…… Chloe and Avery LOVE to eat.

I just can’t believe how big and Brave Brynlee is. You can see her and Kate on the big toy( Brynlee is in a lime green swim suit and Kate’s is pink) They are cute little friends and Brynlee climbed up that thing to many times to count….

She would run from the splash pad to the slide then back to the splash pad. It was a blast.

Just eating….and eating….. and EATING……

Avery was a sticky mess.

But she was very happy.

Brynlee is just so big…..When did this happen??? and who allowed it?

Thanks for the fun day SIL’s( we missed you Cheryce) We will for SURE have to go down again.

Fathers Day 2012

ok I need to be better at taking pictures… I don’t have a picture of Jordan and the girls, me and Jordan or us with our dads…so I have to do better :) Avery and I were there on Fathers day although we are not pictured :)

I asked Brynlee about a week ago what should we get daddy for fathers day the conversation when like this…

Me": “ Brynlee what should we get daddy for Fathers day?"

Brynlee: “ huh”- and a puzzled look on her face

Me: “ Well what does Daddy like”

Brynlee: “ oh..Hot dogs and Donuts"…..”Can I get Daddy Donuts?”

Me: “ that is a great idea.”

So I invited my dad and grandma over for dinner ( mother and Jenna were still in Michigan) Grandma said she would take care of desert and get Donuts.

So I found this on amazon and showed it to Brynlee. I told her it was coming in the mail and it was a secret.

She is way into her play kitchen and making us food so I thought this would be a good gift for her to give dad that they could play with.

While Jordan was helping Brynlee do something she said” we got you play donuts, it’s a surprise” – oh Brynlee……. she is my daughter, I get so excited about surprises that I have a TERRIBLE time keeping secrets. Jordan was kind and did not inquire any farther. They came in the mail Friday and I showed them to her. I reminded her it was a surprise and had her pick a hiding place for them. I told her we would wrap them on Saturday when we woke up. She seemed on board with the surprise.

Well Jordan got home and Brynlee told him “ Your play donuts came to day……Wana see…..they are in this cupboard”…..oh BRYNLEE!!!!! :) Jordan was such a good sport he reminded her that they were a surprise and distracted her with something else :)

Grandma Great made good on her promise to get donuts. Saturday we took the girls over there to swim ( we keep all our water toys there since we don’t have grass yet) and Grandma brought out a dozen of the sour cream donuts – Jordan’s favorite for Brynlee to give him.

She then gave us a dozen glazed donuts and another dozen assorted ones……. YES that is 3 DOZEN Krispy Kreams…..Jordan was in HEAVEN!!!!! We LOVE donuts.

Brynlee helped me wrap the play donuts and was so excited to give them to dad.

They LOVE playing with them. Avery loves them too

Fun Friday….

Friday we went on a shopping adventure to City creek. Alison and Alysia came and it was a fun day. We hit the Disney store and H&M, then chick-fil-a for lunch. The girls were good and had fun with cousins.

We headed home and I went to work. One of our many wonderful neonatologists – Dr Fuller- was working 24 hrs and brought her Shaved Ice machine……What is better then getting called off????- ALL you can eat Shaved ice :) – this was TOTALLY worth staying up till 4am for :)

Such a fun Friday :)

Train adventure

The girls LOVE the train so we try to use it LOTS. We usually will head down in the afternoon and meet-up with Jordan and have dinner.
