We were so excited that Addy got to come home after just 1 night in the hospital. The anti- seizure meds she was on (keppra) made her SO sleep and Grumpy. We kept an extra close eye on her and had 2 follow up appointments. One with her pediatrician and another with Neurology. First was to her pediatrician.
She was a sleepy head
Waiting for the doctor after we checked her weight and such
Well we had a great visit and every thing was getting back to normal. The doctor was pleased with how well she was doing and sad that the Keppra made her so tiered and grumpy.
Thursday we headed to Riverton Hospital for our neurology follow up. So glad Jordan was able to come with us.
Waiting for the doctor.
So it is such a small world. Our Neurologist ended up being one of my uncle's best friends from high school. I remember him coming to family parties and vacations. Anyway it was good to see a familiar face. He was awesome. It really set our minds at ease and he said since the seizures were so close together we can categorize them and a single seizure and take her off the KEPPRA!!!! I was so excited/terrified at the same time. He put a weaning plan in place to get her off the keppra and said if she ever has any more seizures to bring her back.
Such good news means we HAD to celebrate. 2 dozen donuts from Dunford was perfect!!!!
WOW what a crazy few weeks it has been. I am SO grateful for all the tender mercies we experienced. I know the Lord was there watching over us and I could feel him. He brought me such peace during a crazy stressful time. So glad that Addy didn't have anything serious and so grateful for modern medicine and that we have Primary Children's SO CLOSE!!!!
