1 year Pictures

Mother took  some 1 year pictures of Brynlee. It took us awhile because I had to find a cute outfit. I saw this dress ( on clearance at Carters) and had to have it. It is a size 9 months so good thing she is little because it was the biggest size there.

Mother has the cutest little rocking chair and Brynlee LOVES it. She now thinks EVERY chair is a rocking chair.

The bribe….. She did start out with just 1 sucker, but then she saw mine and was very upset I would not share … so she got them both,

Harry Potter and the deathly hallows part 1

So first off, how did I get to see harry Potter 7 on Nov 18th at 5pm (it opened on the 19th) ??? Well my AWESOME SIL Rachelle works for Jet Blue and they rented out theaters for the show. She was kind enough to get us tickets and the rest is history. It was (in Jenna’s words) EPIC. I totally AGREE. (Note: Rachelle was also able to get me an extra ticket for Jenna my sister who is the BIGGEST HP fan I know. After seeing it at 5 with us she went to the midnight show with Makall and the Silverwood’s.)

So how could one be disappointed with a movie whose poster looks like this……

Also you must realize I am a HUGE Harry Potter fan. I cry every time I watch the movies. ( I even cried watching some of the previews:) I had to re-read the 7th book (or listen to it) before I saw this movie. I cried the whole time.

So what did I think…………… First off I don’t know what all the “controversy” was wit h the”nudity” Titanic has nudity…Harry Potter does not.

I know that some things had to be changed or taken out of the movie that were in the book and I am fine with that. Some of the changes I actually enjoyed. There were no deal breaker changes for me. I LOVED this movie!!!!!!! I LOVE HARRY POTTER!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think it is my new favorite one, until part 2 comes out in July. Harry Potter is the best example that the books are always better then the movie. It does always comes very close though. The movies are great but if you have read the books I think it makes you love them on an entirely different level.

I can’t wait to see it AGAIN and cry my eyes out AGAIN. I also can’t wait until July 15th to see part 2.

1 Year Stats

Before our adventure to Oregon Brynlee had her 1 year check up. Passers by thought she was dying when I put her on the scale since she decided to freak out. I don’t know where that MONSTER baby came from. After that little out burst she was fine. So here are the Stats:

Length: 27.44 in Long………………………….8%

Weight: 17 lbs 10.5 oz……………………………5%

Head:45.9 cm………………………………………74%

YAHOO I was so afraid that she would fall off the chart when it came to weight but she is plugging right along…

She is still our small petite little girl with a large noggin. I am hopping by her 2nd birthday she will get to move her car seat front facing, the good thing is she does not seem to mind.

She was good when the doctor did her assessment. Since she is so little the Dr said let her eat what ever she wants and as much fat as we can get in to her. So she said put extra butter on her toast and put some whipping cream in with her milk. – this is one lucky girl.

Here is the cute girl before her 5 shots… Poor thing. The girl that gave the shots did GREAT. Brynlee took almost a 4 hour nap when we got home.

Oregon Adventure

Brynlee and I flew to Oregon for a few days to visit my sister Kate and her husband Kendall.

I have never flown in the smaller planes. It was quite an adventure. Brynlee was afraid when we were outside getting on the plane because it was loud. She was an ANGEL as usual on the flight. We were lucky to have a whole row to ourselves. She played and then fell asleep. The flight was 1 hour and 25 minutes. – when we drove to Oregon it took 15 hours…… I much prefer the flight.

We had fun just chillin at their house and Brynlee LOVED playing with Aunt Kate. She would walk around the house calling her when she would leave the room. Kendall only made her cry once so that was good.

Sunday was their stake conference. It was a satellite broadcast so we heard from a few Apostles and other speakers. It was a great meeting!!! Kate made a GREAT roast for dinner Kate has become such a chef!! We even had homemade rolls

It is VERY rainy in Oregon. So one day we were able to take a walk. Brynlee LOVED the leaves, but her poor little hands were like ice. She did not even care.

Brynlee fell in love with Raspberries. They were HUGE and she would get mad if I broke them up.

We ate lunch one day at this local burger place. It was SO good I had a Hawaiian burger and a strawberry milk shake. YUM

Kate does not get to participate in the “torturing” of Brynlee since she lives so far away. Kate was feeding her ketchup. She was loving it……. YUCK I HATE ketchup.

We went to a thrift store and found some crazy things…..

Such a cute girl . How can you not love this face!!! Whipping cream makes a great hair gel…… according to Brynlee.

LOTS of tub times. such a messy eater. The water was really loud in the bathroom when you filled up the tub. Brynlee was afraid.

It is against the law to pump your own gas in Oregon…. CRAZY. SO we had to wait for the attendant to come pump our gas….

Getting ready to head home. The Medford airport is SO SO SO small with only 6 terminals. Security was closed for their lunch break when we got there. It was crazy.

We sat by a very nice guy on the flight home. Brynlee was great and fell asleep almost instantly. She is such a good traveler.

We had a great time in Oregon. We have missed Aunt Kate lots so it was fun to see her. Brynlee sure loves her Aunt Kate.

Kendall is in medical school. He is in the D.O. program not the M.D. program. So he learns a few different things in school. I told him I was so sick of…… well being sick and throwing up and he needed to fix it. So he did an osteopathic adjustment on my head and neck. I only threw up 3 or 4 times while in Oregon. SO YAHOO I am glad to start feeling a little better.

Thanks for letting us come visit Kate. Jordan missed his girls (and baby deuce) and has forbidden us from leaving him ever again…… good thing there is Skype.

College Gameday

Before Brynlee and I flew to Oregon I HAD to go to ESPN College Gameday with the boys. It is just such a fun atmosphere.

The last time college game day came to Rice-Eccles was back when the Utes were heading to the Fiesta Bowl…… if they beat BYU in their final season game. They did and the Fiesta Bowl was so much fun!!!! Here is a few pictures from that fun day…

Too bad our team is falling apart at the end of the season!!!! But it was still lots of fun to go cheer for my UTES!!!!!!!!!!!

The best excuses for why I have been SUCH a………………. blog slacker/social outcast/look like a homeless person lately….

Baby #2 (the Deuce) will be coming to the Squire Family on or around May 20th, 2011. I am 12 weeks today! :-)

I am usually not one for excuses but when you have this one… you'd better use it :-)

I have been sick since the end of September. When I first was throwing up we thought it was just thanks to the pregnancy…… until I got EVERY ONE sick. Poor Brynlee …. It was also hard to keep a secret when everyone was getting better and I was not….. I was pretty sick when I was pregnant with Brynlee also. So this is nothing new for us.

My family had to be told while we were in Virginia. It is hard keeping a secret when you throw up every thing you eat….

We told the Squire’s at the annual Halloween Party. Everyone is super EXCITED!!!!

We are SO SO SO SO SO excited!!!!! Brynlee will love having a sibling so close. Other than the all-day everyday sickness things are going well. Zofran is my best friend. Everything is looking good when we went to the Dr the last week in October. I have been seeing a Internal Medicine Dr about the clot and had a consultation with the perinatologist concerning “The Cleveland situation” ( the DVT I got in my leg when Prego with Brynlee.) However unexplainable the clot was….. since I have already had one I am more likely( 25-30%) to get another one. So I am back on the Lovenox shots. YAHOO. The reason I am excited is because since they are not treating an existing clot the dose is a preventative one which means much smaller…. so only 1 SHOT A DAY!!!!! Yahoo. So I have already started those.

Every thing else is going good. Brynlee got a baby doll for her birthday from Grandma Linda and LOVES it. So I hope she will love her new sibling also :)

Brynlee and I are flying to Oregon tomorrow morning to visit Kate and Kendall for a week. We are so excited to see them :) Brynlee did great when we flew to Virginia so I hope she does as well with just me for entertainment.

** sorry to all my work friends that had to find this out from the Blog and not from me :( ... But if we would get some babies maybe we could all go to work and see each other again :) - It has been nice to get lots of sleep :)

Halloween 2010

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. This year we had a blast!!! We carved pumpkins at Squire's and at the Chatwin’s. Jordan and I grew pumpkins ( with a lot of help from Grandma Chatwin) so it was fun to carve the pumpkins we grew.

Our first party was at the Chatwin’s. We had soup bowls and other scary treats :) Katie and Kendall joined via Skype.

Sunday we had our yearly Halloween party at the Squire’s. Everyone brought their A-game this year!!!! It was a blast.
