Chatwin Camping Adventure

Every summer we go camping with the Chatwin's to Tony Grove. It is lots of fun and we always look forward to it. I was not very excited to have to sleep in a tent; I am getting more and more uncomfortable each day. My dear sweet Jordan bought us a tall queen size air mattress and I slept great!! I was also worried about not having a bathroom a few feet away since I make MANY tips there now, but the walk was not too far so it worked out. All in all it was a great time, until Cleveland joined the party. Here are a few pictures of our adventure.
Eating yummy dinner. Kate and " Ricky"( my cousin Rachel) and mother.
Me and the boy eating yummy corn.
Jenna, Makall and Natalie.
The baby LOVES corn. ( I really only ate 3 they put more on my plate for effect )
Breakfast is the best part of camping !!! We had way yummy blueberry pancakes with buttermilk syrup!!! After breakfast the girls decided to build a fire. -Emphasis on the try.
They are so proud of there fire.
About 10 minutes later......... this is Jordan fixing the fire they built. Good try girls.

Out on a walk. Well mother and Jenna walked and Jordan got the car and took me back to the camp. - this is when Cleveland started to bother me.
Unfortunately for Jordan he still has a week left of school so he spent some of his vacation time studying Bio-Ethics. -Super fun. Thanks for workings so hard boy!!

Since my hip was bothering me I sat around a lot and worked on crocheting a blanket for the baby.
Mother was making one too.( note the old lady glasses)
Jordan is up to something...... or feeling a bit out numbered with all the girls.
For fun we listened to the babies heartbeat. She is already the center of attention and she is not even here yet.
By this time my leg was getting more swollen so we were keeping it elevated and played lots of board games. I won Settlers of Catan 7 of the 8 times we played !!!
This is showing how swollen my leg was getting. I had some great pitting edema :)
The picture does not do it justice.
So we had to cut the trip short thanks to Cleveland. But we are glad every thing is OK and it was nice to just relax up camping. Thanks family for helping the pregnant lady get around camping :) we had a great time. Thanks Mom and Dad!!!!

Harry Potter and the Half blood prince... FINALLY

This post is a few days late.....I went and saw Harry on opening day...July 15th. For those who know me best they know that I am a Harry Potter girl inside and out. I love Harry Potter, so I was very sad last November when they announced that the movie would not be coming out as scheduled, but it would be bumped to JULY. This seemed like forever away.... But time does fly when you have things to look forward to.

My family got our tickets in June for the show. A few of my sisters ended up going to the mid-night show. They were very upset that I had not requested the night prior off from work. - I do have to be responsible and go to work I told them. So our tickets were for 4:30pm on Wed. We went to Salt Lake to see it at the Gateway since you can reserve your seats. No more waiting for HOURS in lines, so that was a plus.

So what did I think of the movie???? I LOVED IT!!!! I know they left stuff out and added things ( Jenna reminds me daily) but over all it was great. Of course it is not as good as the book, but what movie ever is??? These movies are as close as they come. I think I enjoyed how they changed the ending more them the book. I am trying to decide when I can go see it again. It makes me SO SO SO excited for the next 2 movies, but not excited that we have to wait until November 2010!!

It was a great show that I would recommend to any one :) Thanks mom for taking us and for dinner after :)

24 weeks and counting

I have reached the 24 week mark so I figure it is time for an update. I am feeling great over all, as long as I get enough sleep :) ( there is not such a thing as too much sleep ) I have stopped throwing up EVERYthing I eat so that is a major plus. Little Miss Peabody is growing and moves CONSTANTLY, which is a great thing :) I love to feel her. I am not enjoying this warmer weather. It is a good thing that our house has central air or I would be dead ( I am my mothers daughter, she can NEVER be hot ) If it is too hot I just go to my parent's nice cool 68 degree basement and sit on the leather couch..... eventually I have to get a blanket. I am having more frequent visits to the bathroom, but what can you expect. I know they will only get more frequent as time goes on.
All in all life is good and the baby is doing great :)
Here we are at 24 weeks.
On a side note my SIL Alysia is prego also and due in December. We just found out she is having a girl too!!!! Yahoo I am excited for Little Miss Peabody to have a friend!!!

Birthday Extravaganza!!!!!

I love birthdays!!! Baby Kate turned 1 on July 10th and Ada will turn 3 on the 22. All of Al's family is in town for her sisters wedding. She decided to have a big combined birthday for both the girls on Saturday the 19th. So on Thursday we baked the cakes ( I had to work on Friday). We made the top two layers chocolate and the bottom layer almond poppy seed. We also made an Almond Custard filling. ( it was DELICIOUS)

Ada was a great helper and as a reward she got to lick the bowl. ( she also was covered in chocolate) She kept telling me it was frosting- not batter. Ada is so funny.

The chocolate cakes had a few issues. But after a layer of frosting you would never have known.

Here is our VERY PINK cake.
The finishing touches. The Dots were made out of fondant and then we added the princesses. Every day Ada's favorite princess changes, So Al covered all her bases buy putting 6 on the cake :) - Way to go Al!!!
Me and Bithday girl #1 ADA!!
Baby Kate got the top of the cake. She was TERRIFIED of the pink frosting. I kept trying to feed her some while I frosted the cake and she would have none of that.
Me with birthday girl #2 BABY KATE!!!! She finally dared to touch the pink frosting. After that there was no stopping her.
Happy Birthday to 2 of my FAVORITE girls. They are so much fun. It has been so much fun watching them both grow up and have such fun personalities. Kate is finally decided that she is no longer a "Wussy" baby. She can stand in the middle of the room all by her self and balance, but would refuse to take and steps. She has started taking steps and took 3 steps to me !!!
Yahoo!!!! She will always be baby Kate.
Love you girls.

My latests crafting adventure

I have decided that I need to make the most of my free time since it will be coming to an end in the near future. My SIL's made my MIL the CUTES summer saying for her birthday and I just had to have it! So I made that.

The kitchen during the painting days.
The finished "SUMMER" on the entertainment center.
I did this "Welcome" sign also. Every month there things that hang down change. I only have July's done, so I better get a move on.
I also started to make Little Miss Peabody's christmas stocking. It is wierd to be thinking about christmas in July, but I figure I better get it done before she comes. So this is what it will look like when completed ( with a few minor changes, I am making the name match the stocking I made for Jordan last year)
This is how far I am to date. Almost done!!! one more snowman and her name.
After I finish the stocking I am going to start this Nativity count down. It is a wall hanging. I am feeling a little overwhelmed. The stockings usually have 100 pieces and 6 pages of instructions. This count down has over400 pieces and 30 pages of instructions...... So needless to say I hope to have it down by next Christmas.
I love to do crafts and am really enjoying these felt works crafts. I have to finish one thing before I start another so I don't have piles of unfinished crafts everywhere. This motivates me to finish. So I will keep a monthly update on the count down. :)

Lunch with my favoritre sisters

Lucky for me I have the best sisters EVER ( I do not think that any of them read this blog however ...) I woke up yesterday at noon since I had worked the night before and worked the following 2 nights. Makall called and said we are going to lunch. So off we went. A pregnant Lady can't pass up food.

Makall had never been to Red Robin so we ate there. I love Red Robin!!!!! Their strawberry lemonade is the best!!! It was a great time. We made Jenna laugh so hard that sprite came out her nose.

Me and Jenna. -Yes we do both look like homeless people.

Makall and Katie- they look like they got ready
Thanks sisters for a fun lunch :) The baby enjoyed it too :)

Happy 4th of July

The 4th is one of me and Jord's favorite Holidays!!! The best thing about the 4th this year was that my dad was not in charge of the parade set-up so we did not have to get up early to help him. We started the day off with a yummy breakfast at the park. Thanks Kim and Nancy. We then went to the Layton parade it was not too exciting, I was just glad it was not too hot.

Here we are at the parade.

Dad and Makall drove a candy cart.

Mother and Kate sat with us at the parade.
We totally got the hook up. Dad and Makall drove a candy cart in the parade and as they passed us gave us an ENTIRE bag of taffy. Needless to say all those around us were jealous. The kids were in heaven!!!
Some of the candy.

Every one at the parade.
After the parade it was off to the Chatwin's for a BBQ. It was tasty.

we took Jenna food since she was at work.

Then it was time for a much needed NAP. I had worked the 2 nights before and had gotten 3 1/2 hours sleep. After the little nap we were off to the Squire's for BBQ #2. It was delicious as always.

Me and the boy at the BBQ
The whole gang
Makall and the Whitesides girls. ( I am not sure what Lauren is doing)
We had DELICIOUS homemade seedless Raspberry Ice cream. ( made by yours truly -and mother) It was SO SO SO GOOD!!!

The baby Kate.
The Family. My family was invited to the BBQ at Squires.
Every one playing Bochi Ball
We went to the Layton Fireworks and they were AWESOME!!!!
Me and Makall at the fireworks
Me and Little Miss Peabody. -she was not a fan of the fireworks, she was wiggling OUT OF CONTROL!!!!- not that that is a bad thing.
Sparklers after the fire works

Hope every one had a great 4th!!!! We sure did.
