Iowa city Swimming

Donuts for breakfast!!!! oh how we love hurts. 

We headed to the pool for a fun day of swimming.

It was lots colder then we thought. And a few kids didn't feel the best. 

We didn't end up staying for a way long time, 

But it was nice to be out and about. 

The kids liked the diving board. 

We packed up adn got McDonalds on our way back home. It was a fun quick litttle trip. 

 

Iowa city adventure

We are so proud of Avery. She  received a viking pride award!!! 

We decided to take a little adventure to Iowa City for a day. We left after church on Sunday and headed to Iowa City. We found a killer park and had a picnic for dinner. 

We had a great time. 

Well.....Spencer barfed.....ALL OVER his carseat a few blocks from our Air BNB. The render mercy was that the house had a huge sink in the laudry room and we took apart the car seat and were able to wash it. 

Poor kid.

We got some of our favorite donuts!!!! -The real reason we chose to come to Iowa City is the donuts. 

We had a fun night playing cards with the big girls once we got the littles to bed. 

Saturday

Man oh man do these look amazing today!!!! 

We ran out of our egg patties and had to fry eggs for the breakfast croissants. Sounds easy enough right? WRONG!!! for some reason that was just to much for us and we thought that breakfast would never end today. I ended up only frying the eggs, that was my only job.  This was to remind us how we never want to do that again.

We had lunch with the NPM's. They got pizza today and we brought them salad and dessert. 

The kids all got to come today and wer instructed to meet some one new. THey had a great time playign with there friends and meetiing new NPM's. 

It was a great lunch.

After lunch they sang to us. It melts my heart every time they sing to uys. 

 

I LOVE these amazing missionaries. I love that I get to serve them and get to know them. 

The shows begin

I love having a temple so close. I love that I am able to attend so often. I have a deep love for the temple and I know form my own experience the importance of carving out time for the temple often.

We had another lunch to cater for the amazing missionaries. 

We were able to go and see the opening day of the Promise. It a full musical and is amazing. We LOVE these 2 sweet ladies. They were NPM's last year and have a special place in our hearts.

We were also able to go and watch Sunset by the Mississippi. Oh how we have missed this show.
