Jordan’s work Halloween party

So lucky for me on Friday I was lucky enough to get called off from work so I could take the girls down to Jordan’s office Halloween party.

Thursday night I made Jordan cupcakes to take to the pot luck lunch. I made a white cake then colored some yellow, orange and left some white. I layered the batter to look like a candy corn.

I then did the same with the frosting and they turned out SO cute.

They won 3 place over all in the food competition, they were the only desert in the top 3 so I think we did good :)

Avery was SO excited to get to wear her tiger costume

They had trick-or-treating stations all over the office. The girls had fun.

A co-worker made this pumpkin that sang party rock anthem. The girls LOVED it, all they wanted to do was see the dancing pumpkin

Brynlee had a small melt down when it was time to leave. So I guess that means they had a good time.

We decided to take advantage of one of the warmer Saturdays and head to the park. Jordan was out canvassing neighborhoods for the upcoming election. There are some propositions on the ballot this upcoming election  about rezoning some land out here by us. There is A LOT of miss information going around ( ok flat out LIES)  and Jordan is out making sure that everyone has the facts. He even created a website/Facebook page about it here is the link if you are interested- ESPECIALLY if you are a Layton resident and will be voting on these props, I recommend taking a look so you can get the facts.

So back to the park. Jordan was out knocking doors and putting out signs, he also had a Savior of the World practice. The girls had a great time at the park.

I just can’t believe how big they are. They played for over and hour. Then we headed back home for naps.

Picture Time

It has been since the spring that we did pictures, so it was time. Brynlee’s birthday is coming up so this worked perfect, Avery is also almost 18 months.

I was a little worried about how Brynlee would do but she was SO good. She sat right down and did just want grandma said. She also had a big smile on her face so we got TONS of pictures of her.

Here are my favorites and the ones I edited.

I thought we would get this cheesy smile the whole time…..it is SO cute I would have been ok with it.

Avery did much better then I thought she would. She kept getting up and coming over to tickle grandma.(since that is what I was doing to get them to smile) We got more good ones then I though we would of this wild girl.

I am really glad we got a few good ones on the chair since this is how she wanted to sit in it…

I figured this picture would be next to impossible, but it turned out SO good :) I think both girls are looking at me and not the camera, but I will take it.

Silly Brynlee

Mother did such a great job. These pictures turned out better then I expected so I was SO SO SO happy. I can’t believe how big these girls are. I also love that there personalities just shine through in these pictures. They are such fun girls and we have a good time. I sure do love them.

Black Island Farms

Going to the pumpkin patch is our FAVORITE thing about fall. Ever since we told Brynlee that is was fall she kept asking “when can we go to the pumpkin place?” Well last wed we did just that with some friends from work. Mother and Jenna came with us also.

Avery LOVES pumpkins. She calls them “bow-bows”(no idea where that came from but it is so cute. Here we are waiting for every one to get there.

After the tractor ride we headed over to the fun stuff. Brynlee was SO excited. “ Mom first the pumpkin then the ghosty then the train”- she was off…… It always amazes me how much she remembers. She had so much fun last year and LOVED it even more this year.

Avery had fun in the bouncy pumpkin too.

Avery just laughed and laughed.

 

Brynlee was very excited for the train. She said “ Mom I will not cry this time” last year she cried and we had to get her off.

This year I was Avery’s turn to cry and we had to get her off. Mother is running out to grab her.
