One if the things we loved about this house was the YARD!!! it is on 0.36 of an acre and we have big plans for it.
This completes most of what we want to do with it so that is great!!!
Here are some “before pictures. It was just full of weeds…….. ( and 2 snakes- 1 of which is dead and the other missing….. yikes I know)
The previous owners started to put in sprinklers. We don’t know what they were thinking because the yard was not even graded properly for them. So we spent a few days digging the old pipe out. By we I mean Jordan. I helped until he found snake #1.
All the pipe.
Brynlee LOVED playing out in the dirt. I just know she is going to LOVE the yard too.
Avery spent lots of time out in the exo-saucer while we worked.
We had a landscaper come and give us a bid and discussed options. We went with Countryside Landscaping. They were crazy busy – we had them do the bid in march- but it was TOTALLY worth the wait.
On Tuesday May 22nd this showed up at my house. We were SO excited.
The next day Wednesday they came about 1pm and got to work. This one guy had the entire rock while on the west side built and all the weeds gone by the time he left at like 6pm.
This is how the girls spent most..... ok .....ALL Of there time. They loved watching all the big trucks.
Here are some pictures Jordan snapped when he got home from work.
They used ALL that dirt to make the yard as level as possible. They did a great job.
About 1pm on day 2 about 6 more guys came and they did the sprinklers.- in 1/2 a day!!!!!! They were testing them before Jordan even got home.
We toyed with the idea of doing the sprinklers ourselves but after digging up all that pipe we decided to just have the landscaper do it. When it took them less then 5 hours to get the ENTIRE system done we were pleased with our choice :)
In the north west corner we plan to put a swing set in the next year or so.
Friday we were already for the curbing guys to come. Jordan called the hydro seeding company on Thursday hopping to get us on the schedule next week. Well they also could come Friday afternoon. So we got every thing done Friday.
here is the yard already for the curbing and Hydro seeding,
Before the curb…..
After the curb……….
The curbing guys hard at work.
The little flower garden in the back.
This is the curbing around the garden. Yep that is our garden. It is HUGE!
They also got rid of ALL the weeds and did curbing along east side of the house. They filled it all with gravel
One day we will pour cement, but the rocks work great for now.
The hydro seeders hard at work. They sprayed the seed on Friday and said that we can’t walk on it for 3 weeks but by the 4th week we will have to mow!!!! It has a crazy watering schedule – like every hour for a minute. But so far it is looking good. We should have grass by the 4th of July :)
While the back yard was getting all fixed up I had to work on the front so we planted flowers. – oh there is Avery in the Saucer I knew I had a picture of her :)
Here are the flower beds all wedded and ready for flowers!
All the pretty flowers!!!! Brynlee picked them and was SO excited.
Since everything got done SO much sooner then I thought I got some raspberry starts from a friends a work and planted them
2 rows of raspberries and 3 blackberry plants.
We couldn’t be more excited about the yard!!!!! It was so worth the $$ we paid. The girls can’t wait for the grass to grow so we can go play :) – I am just hoping that snake #2 is gone. – I saw him Monday morning….( and or course Jordan was not home to kill it, and it has been missing ever since) I did plant all the raspberries yesterday so I was proud of my self for going out there because it lives in the garden – I think or under the air conditioner- although I was sure the snake was going to get me the entire time so I think it took twice as long because I had to keep looking behind me.
Hopefully it really is gone, if not I hope Jordan can get it because I HATE snakes!!!!!
YAHOO for the yard. As soon as the grass grows there will be more pictures,
