Grant is 6 months old

HOLY COW, time is going SO fast. Grant is 6 months old and SO much fun.

He LOVES the saucer and every time he hits a toy one of his sisters says “ Mom Grant did that”… or “ Good job Brother”

he really likes the Bumbo and getting to be right up close to the action. He is a great baking partner :)

He is getting so coordinated now with his hands. He grabs at any thing we dangle in front of him. The girls get SO excited every time he grabs the music on the bouncy chair.

he can’t quiet sit up yet( I think his HUGE melon makes it hard :) ) So as soon as he figures that out he will be all done with the bouncy chair.

His hair is getting SO long. It is the same color that Brynlee’s was, but he has like 4x as much as she did at 6 months,

He is chewing and drooling ALL over. I would be surprised if he was getting teeth, but you never know :)

He is SUCH a mama’s boy. He loves to cuddle and as long as he can see me he is content.

His “friendship” with Avery is getting better. He no longer cries EVERY time she comes near him. He does smile really big every time she says his name.

I LOVE dressing this handsome boy!!!! He has SO many clothes. His feet are so small those are 0-3 month shoes. Brynlee had tiny feet also.

he is such a good sport on all our adventures. He isn’t a big fan of swimming , but he doesn’t mind his toes in.

we have yet to start him on solid foods…I have had the rice cereal for over 2 weeks, but it is hard to change our routine :) He has had SNOW CONES :) - which he LOVED. And I am sure he is going to LOVE baby food so much after that ;)

I just LOVE this boy.

His eyes are still SO blue and he is SO full of smiles.

He loves being with his sister and sitting and watching them play in the toy room.

LOVE you handsome Grant. It is hard to remember life 6 months ago before you came to our family. It is like you have always been here and I LOVE that

6month stats, pictures and eating big boy food soon to come :)

July wrap up part 2

Avery is so much better with Grant. We had a family meeting talking about how we must keep Grant safe (and not sit on him, step on him, pull or push him, and if he is playing with or on a toy we cannot touch him or said toy :) )

Avery was pretending Grant was one of her babies. :) Very cute.

This is how most meals go at our house. Grant thinks he needs to be right with us :)

Since Avery was having such a rough time with Grant (before our “meeting”) I took her on a mommy daughter date. We got an ice-cream cone and she was in Heaven. Jord took the other kiddos to the library.

We had twiner braids :) LOVE this girl.

We got to go to the MoTab concert on July 20th with Kim and Nancy. Makall came too. Thanks Whitesides for the tickets. I LOVE the choir and they sang my favorite song, “Come Thou Fount”

Pres. Monson and Pres. Uchtdorf were there.

I found Avery like this and asked what she was doing. She replied “I am talking to Aunt Kate” SO cute. We skype my sister in Michigan all the time:)

The garden has been OUT OF CONTROL!! We have put up over 20 quarts of pickles (thanks to my plants and Rachelle and Nancy’s plants we are doing great :)

I have tons of tomatoes and SO MANY zucchini.

My pride and joy is my mutant GIANT pumpkin…. It is the ONLY one on the entire vine and is already orange….

On the 24th Nancy took us all to Cherry Hill. Jordan had the day off and was able to come so that was way fun.

After a fun play date (Brynlee skipped quiet time) I found her like this. –Mind you I had been talking to her for 15 minutes and was starting to get annoyed that she was ignoring me… Avery was very worried

The girls are hit and miss with the splash pad…some times they LOVE it and some times they won't do anything.
