A visit from Jenna

Jenna flew in on Friday and we were SO SO SO excited. We went with mother to pick her up from the airport. Brynlee was so excited!!! Jenna came home because we had tickets to Les Miserables on Sat. ( a post to come soon about that) Jenna was so excited to FINALLY meet Avery. ( I am sure Avery was excited to)

So what did Jenna and her new niece do……. What Avery does best with EVERYONE!!!!!!

We are so excited for Jenna to move back HOME in a 3 weeks. Brynlee LOVES Jenna!!!!!

Happy BIG “5-0” Daddy–o

Tuesday was also my dad’s big 50th Birthday. Mother and I got lunch for his office and decorated. Brynlee was excited to see Pop Pop.

I also got a LOVELY surprise on my porch when I got home. My sweet friend Christy brought me a cute outfit for Avery AND my favorite cup cakes……….. raspberry lemonade……. YUM … thanks again Christy.

Visit to Grandpa and Grandma Parke

Tuesday mother, Brynlee and I took Avery to Ogden so my grandma and grandpa Parke could see her. Brynlee has been here a few times with Mother. She usually will sit on mothers lap for a long time and eventually go see Great grandma Parke. Well this time she was very sad….. she just kept saying "no" and her eyes filled with tears. After some fruit snacks she was a little happier.

It was a nice visit. Brynlee was fine by the end. ( the sucker grandpa gave her helped ) We will have to go visit again.

Sunday adventure ….. More Avery pictures….

Sunday started like any other day. I fed Avery and then got Brynlee ready for church. She was excited to go to her class. About 10:45 I hear the garage door open….. oh no…. what happened. Jordan comes in and says there was no diapers and Brynlee was wet……. So I go grab a diaper as I am being informed by Jordan that Brynlee PEED on the nursery teacher…..AHH… She was sitting on his lap and peed on him. Jordan said it was no big deal and that the nursery leader was not upset…. but I felt so bad…. It is one thing when your own child pees on you. So after Jordan and Brynlee went back to church (with a diaper bag FULL of diapers) I made some almond poppy seed bread for the sweet Nursery leader. :)

When Brynlee got up from her nap she was enthralled with Avery. She is so cute with her. They are going to be great little friends.

The PARK ( finally) and the new stroller….

I decided that I needed a double stroller for my cute little girls. There was lots to choose from but we decided to go with this one………………..

It is a baby trend sit-n-stand double stroller. Since Brynlee is still little and loves to ride in the stroller we decided to get this one. Eventually we can remove the back seat allowing Brynlee more freedom to get in and out.

She was very excited when we showed her the new stroller.

Since it was FINALLY good weather on Saturday we headed to the park. We saw the ducks.

The new stroller!!! I LOVE it. It is very easy to maneuver ( for a double stroller) and folds up easy. Now if it would just stop raining so we could use it…….

Brynlee is a champ at the slide. She would live at the park if she could. She LOVES to watch the videos of herself at the park.

It was lots of fun and it is so fun to see Brynlee get so big that she can slide all by herself.

1 Week old….

How time flies when you are having fun :) I can’t believe that my Avery is 1 week old!!! (and I can’t believe that I have been a mom of 2 girls for a week) We have had a very fun week. Jordan was able to take the whole week off and spend it with his girls. Brynlee LOVED having daddy home and I did to. We were very sad that the weather has been so bad :( …. Brynlee loves the park, but only got to go once with daddy.

Avery is such a sweet girl!!! She eats great and sleeps even better. She will eat at 11pm and sleep until 5am. ( she has done this for the past 4 nights) I know I am SO SO SO spoiled!!

Se doesn’t enjoy her sponge baths. She does not like to be naked. She does love to get her hair washed.

Her cord is SO close to coming off….. I think she will like a tub bath for sure.

We went to our first Dr. appointment on Monday. Her weight was down to 7lbs 4 oz. Our pediatrician was not there so we scheduled a weight check for Thursday with her.

Brynlee is more and more interested in Avery everyday. Brynlee wanted to lay in Avery’s tub and cover up with ALL Avery’s freshly washed blankets. After she was done, she wanted Avery to lay in the tub and cover up with the blankets. It was so cute.

Avery is awake more and more. She also makes lots of funny faces and sounds.

She is a very easy going baby and is content doing about any thing. She likes her bouncy chair, swing, and the boppy on the couch.

We went back to the Dr. on Thursday and her weight was still the same ( 7lbs 4oz) so that was good. She however was very VERY yellow……… So they drew a Bilirubin level……. it was 16.7 ( it was only 6 when we left the hospital. Once we got home she decided that pooping was optional :) )

So we got to use these……

Avery was such a good sport. She did not mind having to lay in the bed. These beds are very cool. (We also started feeding her some formula to help get the pooping going)

She was such a cute girl when I got to get her out and feed her.

So after being on lights for a day her level was 10.8…. YAHOO. Today we got it drawn and it was 9.2 So we got to give the lights back !!!!! So here is my new non-yellow baby. I guess she was holding all her weight in her cheeks because her chubby cheeks are almost gone…. :( But I bet they will make their return shortly.

We also have gone to the store a few times and we FINALLY got go to the park today!!!

Happy 1 week birthday my princess. I love being your mom Avery, you are such a great addition to our family and we love you SO SO SO much!!!

-Lets hope we continue to have such a fun time this coming week when Jordan goes back to work :)

Sleepin’ Over with Gaga

Brynlee was a very lucky girl. While we were in the hospital Brynlee got to play with Grandma Linda. She had lots of fun ( as she always does) They went to the park.

Brynlee got to eat her first Ice cream cone. She LOVED it. Now she walks around saying “ Tongue…….Ice Cream ” and sticking out her tongue.

Mother called me and told me that Brynlee was climbing up and down on the kitchen chairs. She is SO BIG ……and she knows it.

Brynlee has never had pop corn before ( because she has not had any teeth) SHe loved it!!!! SHe kept opening her mouth and showing grandma the popcorn in her mouth.

Brynlee LOVES her dolls. Their names are Oatmeal and Donut. She is so cute with them.

Brynlee loves reading books with grandma. She also loves to lay on her dolls.

Thanks Mother for taking such good care of my big girl. It was nice to know that she was having SO much fun. I sure love her and love watching her learn SO MANY new things every day.
