A few days of Goodbye's and the Nauvoo House

Fall is in the air and these trees are getting more beautiful every day.

We had to say goodbye to some friends. They were here as Senior missionaries helping with the Young Preforming Missionaries ( YPMS)
This is Elder and Sister Cottam. Elder Cottam is the director of the Nauvoo Brass band. He is also basically a magician. He had some great magic tricks to show the kids.

They in turn had a mini recital for him. Playing songs on the piano, flute and clarinet.

We are so excited that they will be back next sspring with the next cast of YPMs. These are my favorite kind of good byes, the ones that aren't really ones. e are excited to see them soon.

Here we are with Elder and Sister Cottam.

We also said see ya back in the spring to the Crumps. Oh how we loved seeing them.

WE made each one a  special book filled with notes and pictures so they can remember there fun time in Nauvoo.
This week in our come follow me study we are learning about the Saints in Nauvoo and the revelation the Prophet Joseph received here in Nauvoo. This week in particular we learned about the Nauvoo house.

So we went on a field fripp down the street to see the Nauvoo House and talk about it.

The sunset was beautiful. I still can not believe that we live in Nauvoo.
Addy has been working on her fine motor skills and making bracelets.
Avery wrote me this sweet note.
We headed to the Red Front one night to finish off the caramel apple slushy.

We always have  a great time.

Fun Sunday

It was a fun Sunday. We had the opportunity to watch some talks given by some of our YPM friends in there home wards. These are the Peterson brothers. It was so fun to listen to hem share of there testimonies of our Savoir and there experiences of serving in Nauvoo.

They of course sang which was beautiful.

Brynlee and spence making brownies.

We were able to go to a fire side that was presented by our dear friend Mary Jane Wadley. It was a great musical presentation about Nauvoo.

Oh daddy with Duncan on his head at bed.
We sure have a good time.

Pumpkin Walk

Oh how we love Pumpkin walk. It was our busiest day ever  at the red front. Jordan was able to take the kiddos around while I helped at the Red Front. They came to visit me.

There were SO MANY PEOPLE!!!!!! It was crazy to see our little town so full.

Our dear friend was in town and happened to stop bye. Oh how I love and miss seeing Mary Jane all the time.
Jordan took the kids home, left them with a movie and grant in charge so he, Brynlee and Avery could come helped out. Avery adn I were able to take a minute to see the pumpkins.
And friends. The Cottams doing temporary tattoos.

Avery and I found pumpkins we drew.

This was Spencer's favorite.

Our name on the sponsor list.

We sent the girls home so they could put the kids to bed. We ended up staying open until 930pm. Jordan and I closed up and headed home. This was how the town looked then.

We had a great day. It was so busy but very managable.
The employees were very excited for this long roll from the stickers. Every item that is wrapped in deli paper gets a sticker. They judge our business on how long the sticker roll is.- I know very scientific. THis was the longest roll they ever had.

Avery helping out with her friend's order.
We love this town and pumpkin walks was awesome!

Parent teacher conference

I was able to attend parent  teacher conferences for all the kids. To say I was proud is not adequate. These kids are doing so great. Of course I am proud of them and there hard work, but the things I am most proud of is how they are treating others.

ALL Their teachers talked about how each one looks for others to help every day. That made my mama heart so happy. I am glad to see that they are good people at school and try to help those around them.

I love seeing there lockers and such at school

We had to get a reward for all the HIGH PRAISE. Donuts were in order.
It was a great celebration.
These cute girls were talking about alfredo with the neighbors when they were over and they brought them over some. It was so sweet. They planned a day to return the alfredo favor.
